food
Food photography seams to be a popular one. I've been shooting food since 1999 and each time,... it never gets old. I mean, it helps when you get to enjoy a product in more ways than one. Making it look pretty is a part of what I do, testing it for consumer approval is also another thing I do.
Due to an understanding of budget constraints I often step-in & food style my own shoots. Though the more successful shoots do tend to come when a proper stylist is hired, I understand and respect the necessity of budget constraints, and will always do all I can to produce a quality image with the resources available to me.
interior / exterior
Photography for the Tachi Palace Hotel & Casino located in Lemoore, California. This 255 room monolith was a great experience to photograph. Client provided minimal direction, they just needed images to showcase their new addition. The photos were used for TV, print, web, outdoor displays, etc.
model & portraiture
Portrait photography is another one of those things that I've recently discovered a passion for. I guess it just inherently comes from gaining equipment and better understanding lighting and the various lighting tips & tricks you pick-up through time.
Here's a few snippets of my portraiture photography. I'm often hungry for portrait opportunities as I really enjoy them & look forward to growing in this specific field of photography.
events
This is definitely a category that I've been lacking in. Honestly I was so gun shy to take-on the responsibility for so many years I would just turn down the opportunities. But as time passed & I've moved forward gaining experience & exposure, I've become a little more comfortable with the idea.
Still not what I would consider to be my forte by any means, but I would say I'm up for the challenge lately. I'm currently scheduled to shoot a friends wedding here in a couple of months. I will repost shortly following so check back.
recreational
This is pretty much my uncensored, whatever I did, I did section. I do have some photography "art" lying around somewhere that I will eventually post, but it will take way more effort to dig up. It's been a while since I've just set out to have fun & shoot. It doesn't exactly pay the bills if ya know what I mean.
Maybe this site will be motivation for me to get out there & finally shoot those random studies on urban scenics & rusty signage that I've always meant to do. As Wayne Dyer says, "don't die with your music still in you". www.drwaynedyer.com
